Ambassador Training
February 21-22, 2014
Rock Springs 4-H Center
As you know the 2013 Kansas 4-H Ambassador Training scheduled for February 22-23 was officially canceled due to the major winter storm that hit Kansas. The Kansas 4-H Ambassador Action Team and Kansas 4-H Youth Development know that you were disappointed like we were. The action team has begun to plan the 2014 Ambassador “Revolution of Leadership” training for next year. Due to existing bookings at Rock Springs 4-H Center, it is not possible to reschedule the Ambassador training for later in 2013.
The 2014 Kansas 4-H Ambassador Training will be February 21-22 at the Rock Springs 4-H Center. It is open to all county/district 4-H Ambassadors, ambassador advisors and Extension staff. The theme is: “Revolution of Leadership.” Plans call for an all new “60 Seconds to Win It” activity. Exciting workshops include: True Colors Revolution, the Revolution of Leadership, The Revolution of Recruitment, the Revolution of Games and Initiatives, and the Vibrant Video Revolution. We’ll also have special workshops for all county/district advisors and Extension staff.
The Kansas 4-H web site registration system will again be used. Local Extension units determine who may attend this training. For 2014, the training is the fourth weekend of February since the Ambassadors' training follows Presidents' Day, which is always observed the third Monday of February.
