Action Teams - Project Action Teams can serve to bring youth, volunteers, agents, and specialists together to plan and conduct one or more state events or activities. It assures grassroots involvement, provides leadership opportunities, and creates a cadre of informed, motivated volunteers across the state.

Camping - Includes day-camps, residential camps, and outdoor high adventure wilderness experiences to further positive youth development outcomes. Camping programs consist of groups of youth meeting for a specific learning experience which invloves direct teaching by Extension staff or trained volunteers. Camping permits longer mentoring periods between youth and adult or teen mentors along with new social dimensions associated with separation from home and neighborhood friends.
CHARACTERCOUNTS! - CHARACTER COUNTS! is the most widely implemented approach to character education, reaching millions of youth. It is based on basic values called the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. It is embraced by thousands of schools, communities, public agencies and nonprofit organizations for a simple reason -- it works. These groups receive support and development from a national office, which offers training programs, free e-newsletters, resources and free consultation.
Cloverbuds - The overall purpose of the 4-H Cloverbuds program is to foster the development of life skills that are essential for the cognitive, social, emotional and physical maturation of five-and six-year olds by providing a unique educational opportunity.
Food & Nutrition Program - The Family Nutrition Program (FNP) offers nutrition education for Kansans of all ages who receive or are eligible to receive food stamps. FNP is implemented by Kansas State Research and Extension with the sponsorship of the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Programming takes place in 80+ counties through the efforts of County Extension agents and their assistants. The strength and reach of FNP is due, in large part, to the collaborative efforts of Extension and local community agencies and organizations that share a common concern for the welfare of limited resource Kansans.
Geoscience - Improving the understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and spatial data is paramount to preparing youth with skills to pursue promising futures. Geospatial literacy is a component of the Kansas 4-H SET initiative and works to collaborate with existing programs in formal, non-formal and informal learning environments. As the use of geospatial technologies for problem solving continues to grow, 4-H GIS/GPS programs offer a wide array of educational and community service projects that share technology knowledge and skills with others to improve their communities.
Health Rocks! - is a curriculum-based life skills development program for youth ages 8 to 12, sponsored by the National 4-H Council. It helps youth learn skills such as decision-making, critical thinking, and stress management but places a special emphasis on tobacco-use prevention. The program also includes components that bring youth and adults together as partners in developing community strategies that prepare young people to make health lifestyle choices.

Junior Master Gardeners - The Junior Master Gardener Program® is an innovative program that teaches young people to garden while encouraging good nutrition and physical activity. Young people improve their social skills while working on hands-on projects with other youth and an adult leader/teacher, and increase their community involvement through participation in public service projects.

Space Tech -
The Kansas 4-H SpaceTech experience is a 4-H program focusing on 4-H space technology and 4-H science, engineering and technology issues (4-H SET). The experience is headed up by the Kansas 4-H SpaceTech Action Team that is a group of Kansas 4-H youths, aged 13-18, adult volunteer 4-H leaders, 4-H parents, Extension staff and other enthusiasts. The experience concentrates in the core issues of astronomy, aviation, robotics, rocketry, technology and GPS (Geospatial Global Positioning). The SpaceTech experience is accomplished through multi-county/area trainings, as well as collaborating with the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson to provide hands-on programs and technology experiences for 4-H members and families.

World Citizenship - Kansas 4-H Exchange Programs and International 4-H Youth Exchange (IFYE) programs are truly "learn by doing" experiences in world citizenship. Opportunities to travel are available for 4-H members and alumni between ages 14 and 26.
