Want to engage youth in long-term, structured learning-environments
that address their interests and help develop their physical,
cognitive, social and emotional skills and abilities? This one-day
conference sponsored by K-State Research and Extension 4-H highlights
hands-on curricula that adapt easily for out-of-school settings.
Kansas 4-H youth development professionals will share favorite
hands-on educational activities and resource ideas that are sure to
keep youth excited and centered.
This conference is open to anyone - certified teachers, afterschool
program directors, community or faith-based afterschool providers,
summer recreation providers and extension agents.
One-day Conference
October 27, 2008 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

Breakout Sessions: Environmental
Education; Health Rocks; Walk Kansas for Kids; Kids-A-Cookin’; Science
Engineering and Technology; Math Tessellations; Junior Master
Gardener; Leadership Initiatives; Programming for 5 and 6 year olds;
and "how to" make learning activity kits.
Cost: $10.00--includes lunch and activity materials. Checks
payable to: "Educational Fund"

Dress: Professional Casual (some breakout session may encourage
physical activity)
